What a great place! History, great trails, good fishing, nice campsites, and dedicated staff! What's not to like!! We will DEFINITELY be back!
One of the best hiking trails among cedar trees.This trail has it all.A hiker's dream,lust and not crowded trails in this park.Beautiful no wake lake.Watch out for the snakes during the warmer days.They also like the hiking trails.
From the shore trail you can look across the lake to see the hills rising around the park. It is a lovely area with paths to walk from easy to a bit more challenging.
There are lots of hiking trails, picnic areas, and camping locations. This park has a lot to offer. Google their website and check out their info! For example: this state park has facilities that can accommodate large groups for rent. Smaller bungalow like "cabins" are perfect for single families.
Great State Park nestled just outside Meridian, Texas. The park surrounds Meridian Lake. You can fish on it, but not ski on it.
Went camping here with some friends and had a blast! Very clean and nice park. Not many hiking trails but the ones that are there are very nice. The Lake/Pond at the center of the park is very clean and nice. For being a small state park it's very clean, well managed, and safe. Constantly park officials would drive by in their trucks, making me feel very safe and cared for. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
